Meet Glenn Christensen

Glenn Christensen is a professional art handler. That means he's an expert at installing artwork, pictures, mirrors and decorative items in the home or office so they look just right. He has an artistic eye for the proper placement and height, and the technical expertise to make your vision happen.

Glenn has been an art handler for more than two decades. He has completed thousands of installations and has hung more than 100,000 pictures and artworks. He's also skilled at hanging large or challenging objects, from delicate oil-on-canvas paintings to the hood of a car for a race fan. "I love seeing my clients' reactions when they realize how much better their home or office looks," he says. "And they're always so relieved to get their pictures and other décor items off the floor!"

Glenn is the founder and former owner of Applewood Gallery in Charlotte. He carried local and regional art and framed all of it. Glenn has also been a fine arts painter, a pastime he has loved since he was a child.

In his free time, Glenn is active with Trips for Kids Charlotte, a non-profit organization that provides mentoring through bicycling experiences for pre-teens and teens of need in the Charlotte area.

He also helps his wife, Susan, raise funds for the Answer Scholarship Endowment, a non-profit she founded that provides scholarships to mothers with school-age children to receive their first college degree.
